The purpose of this thesis is an analysis of the analogy between
loudspeakers and electromagnetic force balances. This analogy is based on
the Lorentz force principle. Regarding loudspeakers, there exists a model
with a set of parameters, the so-called Thiele-Small-Model. This model was
applied for the analysis of a particular balance.To obtain the parameters,
the loudspeaker models were fitted to match the measured impedance values
using Curve-Fitting-functions. Thus, the state of the art for the
commercial measurement of loudspeakers was reached. Afterwards the model
was used for the balance and provided sufficiently good results, which were
used to form a set of parameters which describes the balance in question.
This set of parameters can describe the electrical and mechanical qualities
of the balance. Based on these results, different balances can be
compared.
